Welcome!
Welcome to my homepage. My name is Rasmus Rimestad, and I am a performer of Norwegian folk music and a storyteller. I live in Tromsų, north of the arctic circle in northern Norway.

The performance "A Humoristic Dive into Norwegian Folklore"
If you are visiting Tromsų yourself, or know someone who does and you want a taste of the Norwegian folklore, I can offer you a performance lasting about 45 minutes introducing you to the Norwegian folklore and making you laugh on the way.

You will, among other things, learn why the fox has a white spot at the end of his tail, get to know why it was important to carry a coffin several times around a house before taking it to the grave yard, learn about the scary but beatiful "Huldra" and the even more scary or not at all beautiful "Draug", and of course get to hear lots of beatiful old Norwegian vocal music.

The performance is available in English and German.

I have made a demo CD with the performance. If you arrange group tours or similar, I can send you a copy. If this is interesting, please contact me.
